Another Violet, eh Rebecca? Well congrats! I graduated from NYU as well with a degree in Computer Science in 2006, although via a non-traditional path that included a few years away from school before finishing my degree. When were you around Washington Square?
In response to everybody's posts about introductions (since I was too shocked just after midnight when I got my acceptance), my name is Chris and I'm originally from NYC (now living in Brooklyn, NY, the REAL Brooklyn - not Brooklyn, OH ;D). I'm leaving a career in information security for medical school, and I couldn't be more excited. Especially about Case! I really love how personal everybody at Case has made this process - just makes you love the school even more.

Hi guys, my name is Danielle Burstein and I am so excited about my acceptance to Case! I am from NC and went to U of Virginia, but am currently living in Jackson, WY. Any potential skier friends in the c/o 2012? Look forward to meeting you all soon.

Hello, I'm Phil Niles - and I too am pumped for med school. I went to Case for undergrad, but I've been taking this year off just to get out of Cleveland (joking, it's really a great place). I'm from Buffalo originally (skied almost ten days this month), but I'm excited to be coming back in July. See you then!

Hi all! My name is Mike Hagen, I just got accepted yesterday. I figure I should introduce myself.
I'm originally from Madison, but I was a military brat so the definition of my "home town" can get pretty complicated. I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Biological Sciences/Psychology back in 1998. I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area soon after graduation, where I've been working in the biotech industry. However, I missed the Midwest so much that I had to import my wife from Chicago, and wanted to come back to the Great Lakes for medical school.

What's going on guys!
My name is Mark, and I'm a Virginia boy, like Danielle (Go Hoos!), but I went to high school near Cleveland. I'll be graduating in May and can't wait to come up and get started! And sorry Danielle, the skiing is not very good around us, we'll have to do some road trips to NY. Any other soccer players out there?!

This is Alex, and I was accepted a bit ago. Case Western is amazing! I love the school and it is one of my top choices. Perhaps I will see all of you guys in July!

Just got my acceptance and I'm very psyched about Case!
Brief intro: My name is Myfanwy and I'll be coming in from Boston. I'm hoping there are some good bike trails and maybe there's someone else out there willing to try a super-short triathlon with me? Also, I adore dancing, so if there are any salsa/swing/tango places in all of Cleveland (of on campus) I would love to know!
See you in April! M

Sorry. I am not a member of your class. I am a member of the 2011 class, but I just wanted to let myfanwy know that there are some good dancing places out here. My wife and I met in ballroom dance class in undergrad and started up our own class, so we wanted to find some places to go and found a bunch of places that are relatively inexpensive. They have live bands at most places. There is also a dance club at the school. They teach lessons as well, so you should be well-suited for the dance scene here in Cleveland.

M Hey Myfanwy, There's a group of current med students that go salsa dancing downtown every Friday night. There's a $5 cover, but it comes with an hour of lessons plus dancing all night long. I'm also a big fan of swing dancing and the swing club here has free lessons every Thursday night, with three different levels available.
