Hey all,
My name is Matt and I'll be joining the Class of 2010. I graduated from Allegheny College in '04 and have spent the last 2 years in my hometown of Pittsburgh working for a molecular pathology start-up company. Check out our website if you're interested (www.RedPathIP.com). I'm obviously a Stillers fan but I root for the Browns when they don't play each other. I love road biking, photography (beautiful pictures Ihab) and soccer and plan to join CMDA.
I'm excited to meet everyone and get started! I'll be in Cleveland the weekend of June 2 looking for an apartment - feel free to call or email me if you'd like: 412.443.1791, wilson.matthewm@gmail.com. See you soon!
Cheers, Matt

Hey, My name is Brad and will also be part of the class of 2010. I am originally from Cleveland and graduated from the University fo Wisconsin in '04. I did a post-bacc year in Pittsburgh and spent the past year doing research in a neonatal respiration lab here in Cleveland at UH. I am a big sports fan, and will play almost any sport, so those of you looking for pickup games or forming IM teams should count me in. I'm moving into an apartment near Coventry (for those who know the area) this coming week. I look forward to meeting people, and if you get in town before class starts feel free to contact me: 216.346.4500 or gbbookatz@gmail.com

DuffMan sayin Hello!
My name is Patrick Duffy, and I'll be joining the class of 2010 at Case SOM (2010?!?! that was a space odessey sequel, where are our crazy space cars? someone tell the Physics Dept. at Case to get on those...) I'm from Cleveland originially, and went out to Colorado College to study Physics and came back here for med school. I'm a huge traveler, love to Bike, Sail, Ski/Snowboard, Rockclimb, SCUBA, and anything else crazy in the outdoors. Soccer, Frisbee, Lacrosse, I'm game for anything, even the ocassional game of b-ball though I can't shoot or dribble so good luck. I even hear you can surf on Lake Erie, so I might have to try that. I didn't make it out to Second Look, but I'm looking forward to meeting all of you in just a few short weeks. If anyone is in Cleveland already and bored (or in Cleveland and already bored) you can e-mail me at p_duffy@coloradocollege.edu, sadly I haven't gotten my case account set up yet.
~Patrick Duffy aka. Duffy.

Hi everyone! I'm Marielena VĂ©lez. I'm a native Philadelphian; graduated Swarthmore College Class of '04; just found out THREE WEEKS AGO that I will be joining you all this year, and am consequently only working as a research tech at Penn until this friday (June 2nd)!! I still don't quite believe it. I am looking for a female roommate (or roommates) and an apartment, if anyone has yet to settle their housing arrangement for this year. I'm interested in music (both listening and performance (singing and violin)), soccer, and dancing (just for fun). I'm actually coming to Case a little early to work in the Summer Medical and Dental Education Program. Is anyone else from '10 going to be there June 7th? Let me know; it'll be great to meet you!! Otherwise, I'll see you in July! -Mari

A number of people have suggested getting together before orientation. I'll be in town Saturday evening (6/3) and would enjoy meeting anyone that can be there. Duffy, Sasha, Brian (or anyone else in Cleveland) can you suggest a good place for us to meet? Somewhere we could get some good eats and talk? I'll suggest 6pm, but I'm flexible.

What do you want to eat? You'll find that Cleveland has amazing diversity in restaurants. If you want a place unique to Cleveland and nearby, Tommy's is always a good place to go. Their milkshakes are to die for!
For other suggestions...you can check out the Guide to Cleveland that was posted somewhere on this message board. It contains some of our favorite restaurants, and should have their addresses listed.

Coventry area, about 10-15 min walk from Case, has a variety of places. Tommy's (and their milkshakes, as previously mentioned) is good, but practically all the places in that area are. Little Italy is closer to campus and has a number of good places as well, but obviosuly without the variety. I have a previous obligation Saturday evening, but if any of you are going out later I'd be interested in meeting up.
