Yo, thought I'd swipe in an introduction here.... My name is Pritu Mehta, an incoming first year student. Congrats to the current second years for finishing up their first year. I went to Case '06 for undergrad and decided to stick around. I can tell you this is a good year to be in Cleveland as the Cavs WILL be heading to the finals this year.
Hopefully you are all enjoying your final days of summer. I'll be in Waldorf and I can't wait to meet you guys in a few weeks.

Hi everyone! I've been procrastinating about all the Case stuff but I am (finally!) starting to get going. Aah where will I live? Hopefully there will still be awesome places to live by the time I get to the area. I'm very excited about Case and even more excited about meeting new people. I graduated from Smith College this year and still can't believe that I'm not going back. I'm from the suburbs of Chicago and will be chillaxin there until moving to Cleveland. I enjoy staying fit, reading celeb gossip (guilty pleasure that I will hopefully outgrow once I become a "mature" adult), going out, dancing, Indian food, ok make that almost all types of food, and am a vegetarian. Enjoy the last days of summer and I'll see you in a bit!

Hello - My name is Ana Radovic and I just finished my boards! lol - I'm going to be a third year in a few weeks. I went to Case undergrad and am starting my 7th year here - aaahh! I'm originally from Serbia (go us in world cup! even though we lost pretty bad to argentina ...) but we moved when I was little and my family lives half an hour away in Hinckley. Let me know if you have any questions about Cleveland or doing MD/MPH (which I'm planning on getting) or anything else! axr63@case.edu

Hi everyone! My name is Beth Stepanczuk. I also finalized my decision to go to Case very recently. I went to Case for undergrad, but I think that Chicago (my home) is the best city. My identical twin is staying in town as well, and i'm sure you'll see her around sometime. I am excited to make new friends here, though. I love sports (mostly soccer and running) and finding things to do in cleveland. A goal of mine is to be able to speak fluent Spanish and practice medicine abroad. I've studied in Ecuador, and i would love to share my experiences in Latin America with those of you who have been there or are curious. i'm looking for a running buddy, so if anyone is interested let me know. i know a few routes around here, and like to explore (a.k.a. get myself lost and try to find my way back). see you all soon!

Hey Everyone,
My name is Brent Cameron. I was born and raised in Oklahoma. Boomer Sooner! Football is my sport, but I will watch/play about anything with a ball, and some things without. I am excited/anxious to meet everyone and find out what this whole med. school thing is really about. Not so excited about the snow. I graduated about a month ago from a small school in Kansas, Pittsburg State University. I have been living in Cleveland for about 2 weeks now. My place is practically on Coventry Rd. As for my spare time, I like to run/bike/lift weights. I also like reading and watching movies. I love going to concerts. Does anyone know a good concert place around here?
Pretty much I have been bored out of my mind at nights around here. (I am working in a research lab during the day). Feel free to give me a call if anything is going on, 620-704-0936. I would like to meet my future class mates.

Does anyone know a good concert place around here? Are there ever! The Grog Shop, right on Coventry & Euclid Heights, hosts some awesome bands in a very small venue. I go there tons, and hardly ever have to pay more than $10 for a show. For bigger acts...check out the Agora, Tower City Amphitheater, Blossom (in the summer), and the Plain Dealer Pavilion. A good tip is to pick up a copy of one of the free local newspapers--either The Free Times or Scene--and check out their concert listings. I think a group of 3rd years are going to see Counting Crows/Goo Goo Dolls/Augustana (!) at the Pavilion July 11th. ~Peggy

Hi ladies and gents!
My name is Lauren Cao, and I'm an incoming case med student class of 2010. Could not make it out to Second Look Weekend cuz of a schedule conflict (eventhough I really wanted to!) I graduated from the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada in 2005... noticed that there were a couple of other people from Canada on the forum =). Have spent the last year in California working in a nursing facility. I love traveling and spent the last month or so traveling around Western US (San fran, SoCal, Vegas... you know, the works). I also love bball and baseball and can't wait to join you all in a few Indians and Cavs games... go Cavs! Lebron James is fantastic and ONLY 21... can you believe that? I also love working out, watching Scrubs/Grey's Anatomy/House, and hitting the bar/club scene once in a while.
I will be coming to Cleveland on June 29 to set up my apartment before school starts. I decided on a studio apartment in the Fairhill Towers on Fairhill Road... doesn't seem to be a med student hotspot... but i figure ill give it a shot and ask is anybody else gonna be living there?
By the way, is everyone gonna be at the Preorientation the Saturday before July 10? Sounds like good times and psyched to meet everyone then and there! Really excited to start med school at Case with you all!

Hey all, I'm moving into the Waldorf today and will be without internet and cable access for a while until my roomie gets in....which translates to: I WILL BE BORED. So Marisa, zedx, HOLLA! Anyone else presently living in Waldorf? Like I said, no internet, so my only outlet to the world will be my phone...my precious little phone...oh, and my car! So call me: 206-412-4606. Who wants to go see a movie?! See you soon! Or at preorientation...or at orientation! Cathy

Hello everyone! My name is Anna Fiskin and I will be doing an M.D./M.A. in medical anthropology at CASE. I am originally from Belarus and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio when I was 11. I went to University of Cincinnati for Undergrad and graduated less than a month ago. I missed 2nd look weekend cuz I was studying abroad in Costa Rica- I see that there are several people who have lived in Latin America - I would love to go back and work there for several years. I just need to make sure I keep up on my Spanish. After I came back, I taught ESL to immigrants from Panama and Mexico and I hope to volunteer in the Spanish speaking community in Cleveland. Also, I would really like to stay involved in environmental and public health issues - I just finished up this internship with Ohio Citizen Action where we work with communities whose health is affected by major corporate polluters and pressure the companies to stop dumping waste and toxins. If anyone has any advice on how I can stay involved in either of these areas once I get to Cleveland - that would be awesome. I am excited about meeting all of you - there is such a wide range of interests in the incoming class. I will be moving in the weekend of July 4th, so if anyone would like to hang out after the 5th, I am definitely up for it . See you all soon.
Anna
